  Trust in Jehovah in these hard economic times--but send us money

  clyde has heard from two sources that a letter was read at the meeting last week.

  after encouragement to trust in jehovah, they suggested that each publisher send about $5.70 to the society each month to help support the organization.

  that's the way he heard it.

  If this is true they are certainly trying to gather as much money as they can, the motion to switch all Kingdom Hall land

  titles to the WTS. is another big money grab, when all of the KH property values are considered in N America alone.

  They are presenting a big lie if they are stating that they are in a money crunch, hundreds of millions were brought

  into their banks recently by sales of properties that they owned in Brooklyn .

  People forget that from day 1 of Russell's era that expenditures laid out by individuals to start the WTS. were fully intended

  to be recovered by the sales of literature they wouldn't have done it elsewise........and thats the truth

  This video was chosen by me as the best of JW you-tube videos awhile back because it insights the real foundation of what and how did

  the JWS organization establish itself.

  Russell strategically put focus on his literature and himself be means of his familiarity with the Adventist movement at the time.

  He utilized Pyramidolegy to help further his own sought out agenda.

  To this day most jws do not know of the roots of this organization or little of it and thats on purpose by the WTS.

  The second part of this crooked story revolves around J. Rutherford, he showed that he was even more of a crook than Russell.

  His salesmanship precluded right into his religious faith , he also sold himself his as spiritual messenger

  of sorts which of course helped in the circulation of his literature.

  He moved himself from a simple men's clothing store owner to a self supporting demi-god by way

  of public speaking and the supportive literature .

  Being that the majority of people were not very well educated at that time, he had a very easy market to sell to.

  Leaving the Organization but not the teachings

  when i left the witnesses in 1992 after ten years in the orgainzation, i got as far away from the teachings and mindest as i could.

  however some, like my former brother-in-law, also left, but are intent on finding ways to reform the society from within since he believes in the society as being of god, but that it has become misguided and is slowly drifting to "christendom" status.

  one of the things he cites as evidence is the wtbts become aligned with the united nations.

  The over impending anticipation that something big is going to be announced soon by the GB is always been

  been a made stay in the mind set of JWS there is always important news coming up,

  You might look at it as a brand new carrot being placed at the end of the stick.

  they say they are not part of the world and are unlike the false religions that are mired in their traditions.

  There is history of the flooding of the Nile, just like every other calamitous event like earthquakes, lightening storms,

  in ancient times the gods were to blame and mostly out the anger of the gods .

  It is therefore most likely that stories would be told revolving these apparent events.

  Armageddon = a great marketing strategy for books, movies and religion

  Many ancient cultures had opposing gods, Jehovah was suppose to be the most powerful and violent of the gods

  and he is shortly about to kill all infidels that do not believe in him.

  ok, so i recently watched the film religulous, and found it to be very funny.. .

  however, i was quite disappointed to see maher "confront" some christians with.

  the "fact" that the jesus myth was borrowed pretty nearly whole-cloth from the.

  I think what Maher was trying to impress is the adverse ridiculousness of indulging into mythology and believing in

  these very old stories and perhaps living in accordance with them.

  His parable with Horus is miscued a bit , but the attention was not.

  I liked the movie it showed how easily mental persuasion is accomplished and how power and money is gained out of religion that is

  unbound without any control or regulation in society.
